About SFLC

The Sobrato Family Living Center provides a safe and supportive living environment for low-income and homeless families. The goal of the program is to provide and assist families with the tools they need to gain economic and social well-being and stability.

Housing Services

SFLC offers 50 private apartments with 2, 3, 4 bedroom units, private bathrooms, kitchens and balconies. Participants work with their assigned case manger to develop and follow individualized service plans. All program participants take part in developing goals to improve job, personal and group skills that are important building blocks to maintaining stable housing and ultimately, self sufficiency.

Other Supportive Services


Case Management - All program participants have access to confidential case management services, linkages to appropriate referrals for alternate permanent housing, budgeting and financial management assistance.

Computer Lab - A computer lab is available for those residing in SFLC.

Access to Food - SFLC utilizes the Second Harvest Food Bank to ensure families have access to food. The food bank assists each resident with monthly allotments of caned and dry goods, fruits, vegetables, dairy and frozen food items.

Licensed Clinicians - A contract with The Family Center offers SFLC parents and children a wide variety of therapeutic assistance, including family support workshops, clinical assessments, group and individual counseling and psychological therapy services, and crisis intervention.

Hours of operation

The center is open from 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Monday-Wednesday, and 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.
