About Housing for Homeless Addicted to Alcohol (HHAA)

The HHAA program provides scattered-site permanent housing and supportive services for chronically homeless people addicted to alcohol.

Clients are moved directly from the streets into permanent, affordable housing. The program utilizes a “rapid re-housing” approach that places individuals into permanent housing and provides them with intensive supportive services and case management. This is a harm reduction model which attempts to assist the individual in reducing harmful behavior that may lead to crisis. There are no “zero tolerance policies” for clients which allows them to take personal risks and grow with appropriate support.
