Homeless Transition Age Youth are in the age group of 18 to 24. They face a variety of challenges to housing stability, ranging from street violence, to substance abuse and unemployment. Often grouped with the homeless adult population, this age group is typically not well understood and often under-served. A large portion of Transition Age Youth are former foster youth who have aged out of the foster care system.
