Our History
EHC LifeBuilders is the leading provider of shelter, housing opportunities, and supportive services to people in crisis and those experiencing homelessness in Santa Clara County, California.
Twenty-five years ago, our agency was founded as the Emergency Housing Consortium to provide shelter to homeless families in Santa Clara County. Early on, we recognized that ending homelessness and poverty required more than just providing shelter – it meant offering up a hand to those who were down.
Since that time, our organization has grown to provide care and support along with housing options to the thousands of single adults, families, and youth in our community who find themselves on the streets or on the brink. In 2005, we began doing business as EHC LifeBuilders to more accurately reflect our breadth of award-winning housing programs and supportive services.
Today, our goal is simple: Provide aid by helping people rebuild their lives. Immediate needs assistance coupled with effective self-sufficiency strategies are the hallmark of our offerings.
As the needs of our clients continue to evolve, EHC LifeBuilders is constantly seeking new and innovative ways to increase the stability and support we offer so we can help people improve their quality of life. Our agency is known for its creativity and diligence. We provide more than a bed, more than shelter. We provide hope and opportunity.
